ML Writes: Trying to trade your signals is difficult as you keep changing Buy/Sells?
Reply: Yes, the signals are all based upon the constant movement of the II-Prop (Proprietary Index) and once it changes, I try and post the "correct" picture as soon as possible. Most are caused by side-ways, flip flop SPX moves, hopefully causing small losses and sometimes a "accidental" profit.
Timmy 07 writes: I understand that you used to trade "options". Why not now?
Comment: Yes, I traded options for a good 15 years until I finally realized the "futures Index" upon which I was waiting on "movement" to activate the options should be traded itself. Finally, I went over to "FUTURES TRADING" and eliminated the options on same. Leverage is similair and works very well. Please check-out my "Momentum Stocks" and see if there are "options available" on any of these listings. The "returns" could/should be astonishing.... Good Luck....
Rob1 writes: Will "recession" change your market projections? What stocks are still a "buy"?
Comment: At this point, No. Although Bradley dates may appear correct, the direction may be "inverted" but more time is needed before knowing that. Remember, majority (3/4) of all stocks will follow the current "bearish" market trends. However, there are always "Momentum" stocks which are showing excellent technical strength and should be FIRST to break out once a solid LOW is maintained by the general market.
JJmul writes: What is with this Bradley thing? (See FAQ). What if they are WRONG?
Comment: Good point..They usually are "partially correct as far a TURN-DATES. Direction, That is another discussion that is worthy of 10,000 hours. Regardless, I tend to LEAN in that direction until proven WRONG. On the other hand, trading Momentum Stocks, one should use stops and other technical measures ALONE and dis-regard Bradley time-trends. Over-all INDEXES should follow Bradley trends and dates. Suggest ETFs for these investments.
Bob D. writes: Do these "channels" work for commodities as well as stocks? The II-Prop Index seems to pick all the tops and bottoms.
Comment: Yes, the channels can be configured to almost anything that is chartable. Yes, the Intermediate Index will identify ALL tops and bottoms once enough time goes by. Unfortunately on the day of signal, one never knows if that is the TRUE top or bottom in real-time.
jdavis45 writes: Have you posted a "track record" of gains/losses from SPX futures trading?
Comment: No. Have posted approximate gains/losses of our HEDGE-FUND over-all. The futures trades are too numerous to give any helpful picture as some are added to "extended" longs or shorts and thus belong outside the "Swing" reference. The signals themselves stand as on-going collective record.
Moss81 writes: Can I make Trade Station do the "envelope" thing you do?
Comment: There has been serious discussion on this matter. I claim NO, others say YES. Without knowledge of various components used in my "Proprietary" II-Prop Index, it would simply be guess-work trying to make a duplicate at best. Manual adjustments from my end are necessary to complete the entire presentation. Still working on ideas and approaches however.
