RADICAL EUROPEAN SMART
1/17/08: SMART-CAR as shown below has been dis-continued as a Mercedes produced product. The new dealerships for SMART will represent a French-made Mitsubishi car which is NOT compatable with Daimler Benz products as shown below. THUS, current owners will now have "collector" status cars. New car base is $11,250 which does NOT include ANY extras as: Power steering, A/C, electric windows, heated seats, power brakes etc ....thus add-ons will run price up towards $17,000. There is a "convertable" model starting around $17,000 and UP. Expect limited delivery in late 2008 and 2009. Mercedes SMART CARS are still available around $27,000 and get approx 72 miles per gallon vs new 40 mpg on Mitsubishi models.
